RE:Tracking distance run

Rpaul:
I use http://www.mapmyrun.com/ to estimate distances. I have found it be really accurate. In addition, if you use an Ipod nano, the Nike+ sensor (when properly calibrated) appears to also be quite accurate.

Re: Tracking distance run

rpaul, I don’t have any experience with pedometers, but I have been using a Forerunner (Garmin) for about 3 years now to track my mileage and log my routes. It’s been pretty handy and has saved me twice when I’ve been lost.

Tracking distance run

Hey fellow runners, I run outside in the fresh air. The problem is knowing how far I run each time. If I run my normal route I know how far it is as I drove it in my car to find out. But if I deviate from that route I have no idea how far I run. Has anyone had experience with Pedometers? Are they very accurate?
